Dr. Subi Chaturvedi is a fr. member of the United Nations Internet Governance Forum MAG, distinguished academician and currently the Head & Sr. Director of Public Affairs& Communication, COAI. A widely published, public policy professional and noted columnist & commentator, she writes regularly on Digital India, Internet, Youth, Media, Technology, Cybersecurity and the Digital Economy. She is also a highly sought adviser & consultant to sr. policy makers and large corporations across the world on policy, regulatory affairs and transition/change management. Subi is an activist on women safety and gender issues fighting for better government policy and wide reforms in the country. She has led the UN IGF BPF on Mitigating Violence Against Women and Children online and contributes regularly to television and online media on Women, Safety, Children, Cybersecurity, Gender and Law Enforcement issues and best practices for a collaborative ecosystem.

Subi is a highly celebrated, award winning filmmaker, photographer and curator, and her work has travelled across the world, exhibited at leading galleries. She brings with her a vast, rich, and varied corporate communications and policy advocacy body of work, with large global organizations, leading agencies, media & content providers, and academia. She lives in New Delhi but considers herself a citizen of the world. She is a true coalition builder and thrives on challenges, fostering technology for good and public policy formulation in public interest and holds a PhD from IITD in the discipline. She has also organised and run the main session on Cybersecurity and Emerging issues at the United Nations IGF, throwing the spotlight firmly on relevant trends and key issues in the sector, as a MAG member.

Being the youngest – Dean in the country to jury member for IIT (Delhi & Kanpur) media, Film & Photography events and curator of the Fujifilm Supersix Competition & Exhibition. She has served on the design Jury of the IBC Amsterdam the world largest convention on Content, broadcasting & delivery. She was also a special invitee at the World Photography Awards Cannes 09 as part of the Palais festival. She has also directed& conceived numerous productions, including documentaries films, audio-visuals around the theme of violence against women and the role of women in society and media with a gendered perspective. She has headed the Academy for Photographic Excellence – A Jindal Photo Initiative as Dean. At Star TV network she was part of Content & Communication team notable among the responsibilities she handled was of their lead TV serials.

Subi topped the university in MA Mass Communication programme of the prestigious AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, JamiaMilliaIslamia. Also topped her Bachelors with the highest overall aggregate in her college.Holds several academic distinctions including: a Gold Medal in Mass Communication, Anthropology & Psychology.She Qualified NET from university grants commission while pursuing her masters at MCRC.
