About the Book
“This book contains 53 interviews of eminent scientists who have contributed significantly to the pool of scientific knowledge, have expanded the horizons of various scientific disciplines, built institutions and spread scientific temper in India.
These interviews were recorded for a weekly programme 'Eureka' and telecast through Raiya Sabha TV Channel. The interviews were edited for improving their readability, without altering the essence of the messages and insights scientists have expressed. Each interview is preceded by a short biography of the scientist.
The contents make for interesting reading and inspire minds inclined to the zeal to excel. The book covers a wide spectrum of disciplines and age groups.
Eureka is a unique weekly TV programme and this volume is also the first of its kind. Scientists have not been interviewed this regularly on any TV channel. Interviews in this book cover aspects of life, inspiration, education, contribution and recognition of each scientist. Invariably, at the end, the scientists were also asked to give a message to the younger generation.”
